How to learn the times tables

1

Start easy

The 1, 2, 5 and 10 tables are the easiest; learn them first, then 3 and 4.

2

Use the swap

3 × 7 = 7 × 3, so every table you learn saves half of another.

3

Quiz a little every day

Five minutes a day beats an hour once a week. Redo the wrong ones until they stick.

4s Double twice: 4 × 7 = double 14 = 28.

Print and pin it Print the chart for the fridge or desk, or print a quiz sheet with the answer key on page two.
