Common uses
Lists of names and numbers. Class lists, attendance and phone numbers before sending messages.
Keyword lists. Merge keyword lists from several sources without repeats.
Emails and links. Turn on “Ignore upper/lower case”, because Ali@x.com and ali@x.com are the same address.
FAQ
How do I remove duplicate lines from a list?
Paste the list into the box. Every repeated line is removed and its first copy kept; then copy the result.
Does the order change?
No, lines keep their original order. If you untick “Keep the original order”, they are sorted A–Z.
How can I see which lines were repeated?
Tick “Show how many times each line repeats” to get a list of the repeated lines and their counts under the result.
Are “Apple” and “apple” treated as the same?
Only if “Ignore upper/lower case” is on. The first spelling found is kept in the result.
What does “Remove every repeated line completely” do?
It keeps only the lines that appear once, for example to find who signed up only once across two merged lists.
