How many pixels is a 4×6 cm photo? 472×709 px at 300 dots per inch: 4 cm is 1.575 in, and 1.575 × 300 = 472; 6 cm is 2.362 in, and 2.362 × 300 = 709. We write 300 dpi into the file so it prints at 4×6 cm. The photo rules themselves (background, clothing and so on) are set by whoever asks for it, so check them before you apply.

FAQ

How do I crop an image into a circle?

Choose “Circle”, move it over the part you want and download as PNG: the corners around the circle are transparent. With JPG they are white, because JPG has no transparency.

Does cropping reduce quality?

No. The cropped part keeps the original pixels. The one exception is the 4×6 print option, which resizes to 472×709 px; if your crop is smaller we tell you it will be enlarged.

Can I crop an iPhone HEIC photo?

Yes. HEIC is read inside your browser, and you save the crop as JPG or PNG.

Can I rotate or flip the image?

Yes, with the buttons above the crop size: a quarter turn left or right, and a mirror flip.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The image is read, cropped and saved inside your browser and never leaves your device.
