Tips for sharp images
The safe area. In Stories and on YouTube banners, platform buttons cover the edges. Turn on “safe area” to keep text and logos in the middle.
Start big. Downsizing keeps quality; upscaling a small image makes it soft. We warn you when your image is smaller than the target.
One size for product photos. Keep all store photos square and the same size so products line up neatly.

How do I resize without cropping?
Choose “No cropping”: the whole image fits inside the size on a blurred copy of itself or a color you pick. Handy for Instagram when you don’t want to lose anything.
What is the Instagram post size in 2026?
Square 1080×1080, portrait 1080×1440 (3:4) and landscape 1080×566. Stories and Reels are 1080×1920.
What size should store product photos be?
We found no single official number, and display varies by theme, so we suggest square photos of 1000×1000 px or more, all the same size.
